Women’s Engineering Society

By Lindsay
Project category: All projects + branding & identity + editorial design

Overview.

The Women’s Engineering Society is a professional, not for profit network of women engineers, scientists and technologists offering inspiration, support and professional development. Working in partnership, we campaign to encourage women to participate and achieve as engineers, scientists and as leaders.

Identity.

Lindsay was commissioned to refresh the identity for the society. The brief was to develop a logo that was representative of the society’s members without being overtly feminine, and also to convey the networking aspect of the society. He developed a logo device created from a series of interlocking hexagons shapes. By rounding off the corners the hexagons became petal shaped. This flower device is a subtle way of feminising the logo. The interlocking relationship of the petals conveys the networking aspect of the society.

Stationery.

A letterhead, compliment slip and series of business cards were created.

Leaflets and mailers.

Lindsay designed a range of information leaflets and membership mailers.
