About us.

Words and Stuff is a creative collaboration between Catherine Bassindale (editorial) and Lindsay Robertson (design). Between us, we have 40 years’ experience in the media, which is kind of scary, as it only seems like yesterday etc. You can hire either of us to slot into your team. Or both of us, as Words and Stuff, to create leaflets, logos, brochures, annual reports, websites… you name it, we’ll do it. And as you’ll see from the project bar on the right, we’ve probably already done it.

Lindsay Robertson, Design

Meet Lindsay. He studied Graphic Design at the London College of Printing (as it was known in the olden days), and worked in the design industry ever since. He has run projects across the private, public and charitable sectors, with clients including Breakthrough Breast Cancer, the Department for International Development, John Lewis Partnership and Waltham Forest Council. Lindsay has received private and public art commissions. Plus he’s collaborated with fashion photographers for magazines stories and exhibitions. Off duty, he loves going to the seaside and eating donuts on the pier.

Catherine Bassindale, Words

Say hello to Catherine. She worked as a journalist for many years at the Evening Standard, the Independent, Best magazine and other well known publications. She’s now a copywriter for clients including Barts and The London NHS Trust, Barts and The London Charity, a large construction company and assorted small businesses. She has a degree in Social and Political Sciences from Cambridge University, but don’t try and catch her out by asking any tricky questions, like who the PM is nowadays. In her spare time, she drinks extra-hot flat whites (hold the foam).
