Overview.
We were given the job of creating an identity and website for a school that didn’t technically exist… and jumped at the chance! The founders of The Island Free School had a clear vision of how their school would take shape – and so we created a website and other marketing materials that tied in with their plans for an aspirational, high achieving secondary school for the Isle of Wight. In September 2014, the school opened. We worked closely with the team to create their prospectus, Salve! newsletter, uniform booklets, Educational Brief, and staff and student planners.
Identity
Lindsay designed the logo and created a colour palette that picks up on the sea blues and sunshine yellow in our local environment. The lighthouse in the crest is a nearby landmark (St Catherine’s). He also created the main signs for outside the school and artwork for the inside with inspirational quotes.
Website.
We set up the website, which the school now maintains.
